Introducing our Fall favorite recipe- Raw Carrot Ginger Soup

The winter months are upon us and you know what that means! Cold weather for most of us, comfort foods and big Holiday meals!  It can be challenging to stay on track with your diet over these next few months, so I want to offer you one of my favorite soup recipes to try this season.

 It’s Simple, Nutritious, Delicious, and because it doesn’t get heated to temperatures over 118 degrees, the Nutrition and Enzymes are preserved!
Our ENERGY increases and our body starts cleansing itself naturally when we keep our foods in their natural state and unaltered by Heat and Fire. 
 
By getting in more of these predigested and bio-available foods, you give your digestive tract a break from expending much of it’s vital energy into breaking down solid foods, giving you more energy for healing and repair.
 

 

Carrot Ginger Soup

 Carrot ginger soup– (Serves 4)
To make the base, Juice all these items together and pour into the vitamix or high power blender.
Directions:
Using a juicer-
•1/2 cup of carrot juice about 5 carrots
•1 cup of apple juice about 3 apples
•1/2 lemon with skin off
• 1/2 inch of ginger root
Then
Using a high Speed Blender-
•add 3/4 cup of peeled carrots
•1/2 cup of hot water
•3/4 cup of soaked cashews (soak 4 hours) *Optional
•1 to 1 and 1/2 avocados for creaminess
•1 tsp of sea salt
• sprinkle of cayenne pepper to your taste
• 1 tsp of crushed black pepper
•1/2 clove of garlic
Blend all the ingredients together on high until it’s a creamy soup. Note: For more texture and substance, add some diced Zucchini.
This is the finisher, I added fresh sprigs of cilantro leaves to the soup and a little fresh pepper and ENJOY!
