Do you have a DREAM?

You can do anything you set your mind to!

Dream. Believe. Achieve.

I wonder how many of you have big dreams and visions, but never act on them because of fear?

Within all of us lies the seed of greatness and abundance. It’s always been there and always will be.

If you can concentrate on a thought, believe, and trust that it’s already happening, you

will eventually manafest what ever it is that you hold in your mind. Then, you must act on it.

If you knew who walked by your side at all times, you would never fear again. That which
you are seeking, is seeking you!

In this documentary this little boy’s spirit was moved in such a way that he acted on his thoughts and emotions, and didn’t let the fear of failure get in the way, even when the odds were against him.

I think you will find his story quite moving!!!

3 tips to torching body fat

Are you having trouble shedding the body fat? I will share 3 tips in this article that will ensure your success when trying to torch the body fat. Your Nutrition is the biggest component and accounts for 70% of the results achieved, resistance training accounts for 20% and cardio accounts for the other 10%. That said, here are 3 tips that I implement into my clients routines to ensure we melt away the body fat.

Tips:

1. Interval training- 20 minutes of interval training 2-3 times per week is very effective at burning body fat. Interval training can be accomplished by running sprints or cycling for 20 minutes. 20 seconds of all out maximum effort, followed by 10 seconds of rest and repeat.

2. 45-60 minutes of Steady paced cardio 3 days per week. Find your maximum heart rate by subtracting your age by 220 and then x that number by .65 and this will be where you want your heart rate to be for the fat burning zone.

3. Drink 3 alkaline green juices per day- this juice acts as a diuretic and helps to flush toxins and water from the body, plus it will deliver a big dose of vitamins, minerals and enzymes needed to aid in recovery and inflammation. Key ingredients Include Celery, Cucumbers, Romaine, Green Apple, Lemon

I recommend investing in a hear rate monitor so you know when you are in the fat burning zone. You can find them at Target and Wal-Mart for $50-80.

As always, get clearance from your Health Practitioner or Doctor before beginning any exercise program.

See why removing fats when you are detoxing is beneficial

Did you know that fat contains ten to 100 times more toxins blood? One of the best ways to remove toxins is to detoxify your body and remove the fats during this process.  By removing the fats when you are detoxing, you allow your body to begin to break down its fat storage and remove toxins on a much deeper level.

veggies

A good way to begin to detoxify your body is to start by incorporating Organic alkaline green juices and fresh fruits into your daily regiment. I like to start off with 2-3 different green juices per day and fresh fruit for breakfast. I encourage you to research food combination charts so you know what fruits mix well together. This will also help you prevent foods from not being digested properly and avoid having an upset stomach. There is one tip that I would like to offer, and that is to eat melons alone or leave it alone. Melons are the only fruit that do not mix with any other fruits.

By adding in your Organic Alkaline Green Juices, you will provide your body with a tremendous amount of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and hydration. Adding in green juice provides many benefits for your body. Here are a few things that are at the top of the list:

The high water vegetables will hydrate your body and cells on a cellular level and this will help with inflammation, balancing your body PH, and loosens toxins to be eliminated from the body

Green juice has the pulp extracted allowing the body to absorb all nutrients immediately and freeing up digestion so your body has more energy to begin the healing and detoxifying process

Provides a high amounts of Electrolytes

A natural wholesome way to increase your Vitamins, Minerals and Enzymes

You know exactly what your putting into your body vs taking a synthetic supplement that you don’t know what your getting

The high water vegetable juice will act as a natural diuretic making it great for encouraging urination to remove toxins and remove excess water

As always, I recommend checking with your health care practitioner prior to beginning any detoxing program.

Mother Natures Juice For Promoting Calming, Deep Sleep and Relaxation

I am writing this morning from my room that overlooks the beautiful San Francisco Bay. As the sun slowly begins to make it way up across the bay, I am immediately feeling the urge to express my creativity and share. The energy is already buzzing around the bay area as I can see people already out exercising.

Watching people exercise made me think just how important deep sleep and relaxation is to recover from exercise and daily fatigue.

Being able to relax and get a good nights sleep is such an important part of balancing our body and our hormones. This Green Juice Tonic promotes Calming, Deep Sleep and Relaxation and is also great for hydration and alkalizing the cells of our body.

Enjoy this juice 33 minutes before you retire or when you just want to relax.

The Relaxer ingredients:

Celery– The minerals in celery, especially magnesium, and the essential oils in it, soothe the nervous system.

Cucumber– Cucumbers are 95 percent water, keeping the body hydrated while helping the body eliminate toxins.

Romain- Its high mineral content makes it a great choice for calming the nerves and hydrating the cells. One head of romaine lettuce also contains a dose of Omega-3 essential fats…(Yes, Omega-3 are in Spinach and Romain Lettuce) Forget the supplements, go for some leafy greens instead!

Lemon– High in Vitamin C, Acidic in nature, but alkalizes once ingested, preserves juice by slowing oxidation and is great for stimulating the lymphatic system.

The recipe:

1 bundle of celery

1 cucumber

1-2 heads of Romain

1- lemon

Top Food Sources of Omega-6 Oils

Keep it simple….All the substances that your body requires, including fats, are found in organic fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetables. If it’s not in them, you don’t need it! Science has lost touch with the simplicity of health. Animals intuitively eat the food assigned for their particular species. So should you.

The following foods are rich in linolenic acid which metabolizes into Omega-3 fatty acids.

Flax Seed Oil- Also known as linseed oil. Has been used for over 5,000 years for many puroses. High in Linolenic Acid and Gamma-Linolenic Acid.

Blackcurrent Seed Oil- Known for its rich oils high in Linolenic Acid and Gamma-Linolenic Acid.

Borage Oil- The borage plant is known as “the adrenal” herb. The adrenal glands supply your body’s steroids, which are manufactured from cholesterol, one of the main products of essential fatty acids.

Evening Primrose Oil- The flower is also known as Evening Star and Night Willow. I have used Evening Primrose Oil in Cases of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) with great results. A rich source of Linolenic Acids.

A note of caution about oils: Never use cheap, refined, commercial or processed oils found in clear glass or clear plastic bottles. These oils are mostly rancid and full of solvents, pesticides and chemical preservatives, like BHA, BHT, methyl silicone, and others. These oils are “super cooked” changed or bonded , causing body acidosis, and liver and kidney damage.

Tips on how to handle exercise and healthy eating when you travel?

20140108-080945.jpg

Do you find yourself scrambling to try and stay committed to your workouts and healthy eating when you travel? I want offer you a few tips that have helped me to stay on track.

My Traveling tips:

1. My best tip is to plan ahead. Find out if the hotel or place you will be staying at has an on sight gym facility or a park nearby.

2. I always travel with a set of resistance bands and a jump rope, and put together specific calisthenic (body weight) workouts prior to my trip. This will take the guess work out of what your going to do.

3. Plan ahead and get a good “food stash” together. I find this to be essential in not splurging. I know that every town and city has different food options, so I plan ahead and do a little research and see if there are any heathy options. I look for Organic juice bars, Organic vegan and gluten free restaurants etc. I also always travel with a few key
items to keep me from splurging. Dates are some of my favorites and store away easily. Some other great options are Super food powders, alkaline superfood bars and I always have some soaked nuts and seeds with me. This does the trick!

4. If I go out to eat at a normal restaurant, I look for a place that has a salad bar and gluten free options. I stay away from eating at places that I know might tempt me to get off track, like pizza places and italian restaurants. If you find yourself getting off track, don’t feel shameful or guilty, work on being conscious of what youre eating and just be mindful. Food today is very addicting and we always don’t realize what we are doing and eating until we are finished and then feel guilty. By being conscious and staying mindful, you make the connection of what you are eating and over time you can begin to make better choices. Do the very best you can!

Here are 2 sample workouts that I use when I travel:

Workout 1:

Do as many rounds through these exercises as possible in 30 minutes.

* Warm up for 10 minutes

5x pullups

10x push ups

15x Air squats or use the resistance bands for more resistance

Workout 2:

Do 3 rounds of  these exercises

Warm up for 10 minutes

Run 400 meters

20x pull ups or rows with the resistance bands

20x push ups

20x burpees

20x squats

20x walking lunges
